Mike Todd (ICP)
Being an Intermediate Care Paramedic (ICP), with the InterlakeEast Regional Health Authority for over eight years, Mike's extensive medical background has been a huge asset for CANADIAN FIRST-AID TRAINING Ltd.
Mike's medical background stems from being a Medical Assistant and instructor for the Canadian Armed forces medical reserves for eleven years. He has used his medical training in a wide variety of settings both in Canada and overseas. Mike has began teaching first aid first for the military and then brought these skills to Canadian First Aid Training in 2007. Mike also has taken his instructor skills overseas with Globalmedic training Deminers working for MAG (Mines Advisory Group) first aid and medical care to in Cambodia in 2012.
Mike's work history also includes him having worked at the Main Street Project (downtown Winnipeg) for seven years as a crisis worker, as a medic with Manitoba Conservation, two seasons as a trainer for a M.M.J.H.L hockey team, as a member of the EMS exam team with Manitoba Health and volunteering his medical skills in Cambodia (2012) and in the Dominican Republic (2014).
Mike continues to upgrade his education by becoming an ACLS instructor for CFAT and upgrading his Paramedic level to Advanced Care Paramedic through the City of Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service.
Mike enjoys camping, hiking, being outdoors and spending time with family which has led him to also volunteer his time as a Beaver Leader for Scouts Canada since 2009.
