First Aid Instructor (FAI) - Canadian Red Cross accredited course. - (Canadian Red Cross)
Description: This 4-day course provides candidates with the knowledge and skills to teach core Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR courses: Emergency and Standard First Aid, CPR/AED, Marine Basic First Aid, Emergency and Standard Child Care First Aid. Includes how to teach and facilitate, individual and group assignments, practice teaching, injury prevention principles, inclusion, and progressive learning.
Prerequisites: Current Canadian Red Cross Certification in Standard First-Aid w/ CPR Level HCP and AED - 16 hours.
Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, complete practice teaching, and 80% minimum passing grade on written exam.
Duration: Approximately 32 Hours.
Certification: 3-year Canadian Red Cross First-Aid Instructor (FAI) Certification. This is achieved upon completion of teaching a 2 day Standard First-Aid w/ CPR Level HCP (Adult, Child, Infant), AED (Automated External Defibrillation) and BVM (Bag Valve Mask) course.
